With a simple swipe of Lineco's pH testing pen, you can determine whether the paper and board you are using is acidic. A quick and easy method of distinguishing between safe (neutral or alkaline) paper and board & acidic materials.

The Lineco pH testing pen is simple to use—just draw a small line on the material you want to test. The pen's Chlorophenol red indicator solution will turn purple on paper with a pH of 6.8 or higher. If the colour is clear or yellow, the material is likely unsuitable for conservation.
