9476 Alfamacchine U400S Semi-Auto Pneumatic Underpinner

Air-operated underpinner for busy bespoke and smaller contract framing workshops

Developed by Alfamacchine using their many years of engineering experience and made in Italy, this frame moulding joining machine offers superb quality and reliability.

• U400S joins mouldings up to 85mm wide and 80mm tall. Particularly suitable for wider profiles and harder woods

• Maximum distance between v-nails is 120mm

• U400S uses Power Twist v-nails specially designed and made in Italy by Alfamacchine. Takes any of the five sizes from 5mm to 15mm, in types for Normal, Harder wood and Super-strong for HDF and similar mouldings. Machine is supplied with blocks for 7mm, 10mm and 12mm and a box of PTM normal v-nails for each. Blocks for 5mm and 15mm available at extra cost

• Moulding stays in a fixed position while the top polymer L-pad and v-nail carriage move together. This ensures the moulding is always clamped from above exactly where the v-nail is inserted from below

• U400S features the Alfamacchine polymer L-pad top clamping system. This features quick-change pliable polymer pads which fit into single or double pad holders

• Two-stage clamping with the foot pedal. First stage pushes corner together, second stage brings down the L-Pad top clamp. The handle adjusts position of the v-nail and then press to insert the v-nail

• Back fences have angle and tilt adjustment to help you calibrate the best join

• Pneumatic balancing of v-nail insertion mechanism facilitates use in tilted position. Supplied with stand

• Working height 300mm above bench. Base 400mm x 590mm, inc stand. Weight 70kg
