Installing a STAS picture hanging system will give you complete flexibility to change your displays without damaging your walls. A picture hanging system has four key components:

1) Fixing button to attach rail to the wall. These are usually fitted at 300mm intervals using a fixing to suit the wall type. The rail snaps onto the fixing button. Rails can be cut to length.

2) Use end caps and joiners to make it neat. You can also paint the rail to match the room scheme. Watch the video guides made by the manufacturer, STAS.

3) Suspender slots into the rail. Choose from discreet clear Perlon or tough, eye-catching steel cable. Use two cables for larger pictures. If you sell a picture it’s easy to unhook the suspenders and move others along to fill the space. Start by ordering around two suspenders per metre of rail, plus a few extra.

4) Hook slides onto the suspender and locks in place. There’s a choice of hooks for larger and smaller pictures. Start by ordering two hooks per suspender, plus a few extra.
