Gummed tapes are preferred for conservation framing as they’re water activated and reversible.

Gummed Brown Tape can be moistened evenly with the Gummed Tape Wetter or a barely damp sponge.

When framing for damp environments such as bathrooms, consider Correx Fluted Polyprop backing board paired with Lineco Frame Sealing Tape - the aluminium backing helps prevent moisture penetration.
